Electric motor control type test

In the stages of new product development of motors and controllers for new energy electric vehicles, improvement and upgrading of old products, etc., it is necessary to conduct type tests on products in progress (motors or controllers). Generally, it is necessary to use a dynamometer to build a test bench to fully verify the comprehensive performance of the product.

  • 1、Co-exchange energy feedback scheme
In this scheme, the front end of the dynamometer is equipped with a four-quadrant inverter with the function of feeding the network. The DC source can be selected EVWS series battery simulator (or EVWB series bidirectional DC power supply), which forms a common AC energy feedback system with a dynamometer and a frequency converter. Under test conditions such as feeding test, braking, and deceleration, the DC source can feed back the energy generated by the motor under test to the AC grid. Under test conditions such as endurance tests, the four-quadrant inverter can feed back the energy generated by the dynamometer to the AC grid.

    DC source selection:
Optional EVWS series battery simulator, EVWB series bidirectional DC test power supply

    Program features:
    1. The energy consumption is small, and most of the energy of the overall system can be circulated through the AC grid. When braking or decelerating, the energy fed back by the motor can be fed back to the grid without a discharge device.
    2. The DC source and the inverter share the same AC bus, and the DC bus is completely isolated, and the stability and ripple of the DC output voltage will not be affected when feeding from any side.

  • 2、Common DC energy feedback scheme I

In this solution, the front end of the dynamometer is equipped with a four-quadrant inverter that can feed back the grid function, and the dynamometer and the inverter form a common DC bus (four-quadrant inverter DC bus) for energy feedback. The dynamometer sends out the test conditions, and the DC test power supply feeds back the energy emitted by the detection motor to the DC bus of the inverter, and the test K quantities such as endurance tests are also fed back to the DC bus of the inverter.

    DC source selection:

EVWDS series battery simulator, EVWD series bidirectional DC test power supply.

    Program features:

    1. Low energy consumption
    2. Cost saving, the AFE on the DC source side can be omitted.

  • 2、Common DC energy feedback scheme II
In this scheme, the front end of the dynamometer can be equipped with a frequency converter without feedback grid function. Select the EVWBL series bidirectional DC power supply, together with the dynamometer and frequency converter to form a common DC bus energy feedback system. In the feedback grid test, braking, deceleration and other tests, the energy emitted by the motor under test is fed back to the grid.

    Selection of DC source:

EVWBL series bidirectional DC test power supply.

    Program features:

    1. Low energy consumption.
    2. Cost saving.
