Arbitrary Waveform Generator and Applications
The GP Series features a built-in multi-function arbitrary waveform generator, allowing users to easily create and output individual or combined waveforms, including triangular, rectangular, trapezoidal, sine, and step waveforms. These waveforms can be applied to both output voltage and output current.
Users can edit and combine waveform segments according to their specific testing requirements to generate customized test profiles. Typical applications include:
- Input Voltage Ramp Rate Control
- Voltage Step Profile Simulation
- ISO 16750-2 Startup Voltage Profile Testing
- Input Voltage Disturbance Testing
- Product Lifecycle Variation Testing
- Input Voltage Drop Testing
- Input Voltage Surge Testing
- ISO 16750-2 Momentary Voltage Interruption Testing
- Battery Pulse Charging Simulation
- ISO 16750-2 Voltage Drop Reset Testing
- Simulated Battery Supply Voltage Drop Testing
- Simulated Battery Slow Voltage Ramp-Up and Ramp-Down Testing
Remote Monitoring and Control
The GP-3KW Series supports WOCEN POWER CONTROL PC software, providing comprehensive remote monitoring and test control functions, including device scanning, protection parameter configuration, output parameter setting and monitoring, start/stop control, arbitrary waveform editing, and operating/configuration parameter storage.
The software supports up to 100-step arbitrary waveform editing and real-time data logging at up to 10 samples per second, making test setup more convenient and enabling comprehensive test data management.
Constant Voltage and Constant Current Modes
The power supply supports both Constant Voltage (CV) and Constant Current (CC) operating modes. Output voltage and current settings can be continuously adjusted from zero to the rated value. The power supply automatically switches between CV and CC modes according to the characteristics of the connected load.
Comprehensive Protection
The GP Series incorporates multiple protection mechanisms to ensure safe and reliable operation.
Module Protection:
Protects against input AC undervoltage, low DC bus voltage, and internal power device overcurrent.
Power Supply Protection:
Provides protection against overtemperature, output overvoltage, output undervoltage, output overcurrent, and reverse connection of the compensation terminals.
Adjustable OVP and OCP Protection
OVP and OCP protection thresholds can be configured directly through the operating interface. When the output voltage or current exceeds the preset protection limit, the power supply immediately stops output to help prevent damage to the connected load.
- OVP: Overvoltage Protection threshold
- OCP: Overcurrent Protection threshold
Automatic Remote Sense Compensation
The power supply features dedicated remote-sense terminals (COMSENSE) for automatic cable voltage-drop compensation. By connecting the sense terminals to the load terminals, the power supply can accurately detect the voltage at the load and automatically compensate for voltage drops caused by power cables.
The remote-sense function can also detect reverse connection at the load side and provide reverse-connection protection.
Short-Circuit Protection
The GP Series supports protection against both short circuits occurring during operation and short circuits present when output is started.
When a short circuit is detected, the power supply stops output and activates an audible alarm while displaying the corresponding fault information on the screen.
Built-in Output Discharge Function
The power supply features an internal discharge circuit that quickly releases the energy stored in the output capacitors after output is stopped. This helps reduce residual voltage at the output terminals and improves operational safety.
Multiple Remote Control Interfaces
The GP Series supports multiple communication interfaces for remote control and monitoring, including RS232, RS485, Ethernet, USB, and CAN.
When connected to a PC, users can remotely configure operating parameters and protection thresholds, control output, and monitor real-time operating status, measurement data, and alarm information.
